Relatively Daily Awesomeness

So on Saturday I unofficially put in my two weeks notice at petsmart. Unfortunately my boss was consistently cutting my hours. For example, next week I was only scheduled 7 hours which in and of itself is ridiculous, but then my boss took my measly 7 hours and gave it to the new girl... THE NEW GIRL!!! and her work ethics are sub par at best. I worked with her Saturday and she either complained or talked with coworkers. When it came time to close i had to leave because i was coughing up a lung and she freaked about no knowing what to do... BTW she has closed before AND all the stuff you need to do is on checklists... checklists! Damn if I was going to teach her how to read one of those.

So this is roughly how it went down...

Ta-da! Oh well... So is anyone hiring?

Random musings for today

When did people develop such an inability to give respect? People curse at police officers for giving them a ticket but then need their help in dangerous situation where that officer they disrespected has to put their life in danger for you. People mock their teachers but without them their would be no enforced education and the majority of people would be illiterate. When you work at a job for over a year with a pristine record your boss cuts your hours and new people think they are better than you. If a doctor tells you something you dont want to hear you blame the doctor instead of trying to understand. If life gives you a bad hand you blame god instead of trying to fix your own issues.
*Respect should be given to every single person you ever meet, despite rumors or things you observe until that person actively does something to YOU to damage that respect.

On a significantly less serious note, when did movies become so much less involved? I've been on an old movie binge and even the crumby movies have involving plops and amazingly dynamic characters. I watch a drama today and i just end up thinking the movie is stupid, I watch a classic drama and will go through half a box of tissue. Watch Penny Serenade and tell me I'm wrong! I'm not saying all modern movies are terrible but more than half are simply poor on plot or characters. Instead of delving in to the characters we have dramatic effects... Plot and character development, my good friends, I miss you. Where have you gone? Why have you abandoned us?
